Forth Road Bridge South Tower Climb

As part of the 50th Anniversary of the Forth Road Bridge and the corresponding Forth Bridges Festival to be held between 4th September to 13th September 2014, I visited to the top of the south supporting tower on Sunday 27th July 2014.

The bridge towers rise 156 meters above sea level and support the cables of the
main span of 1006 metres between the two towers, it was the fourth longest in the world and the longest outside the United States when it opened in 1964. In total, the structure is over 2.5 km long.
