Our November 2013 trip took us to the beautiful Medhufushi Island Resort in The Maldives, one of the 84 tiny resorts in this island country. We stopped for a couple of days short stay in Dubai, UAE on the way home.
Our hotel in Dubai was The Palace Downtown, which sits on the lake-side immediately overlooking the Dubai Fountain and beneath the Burj Khalifa Tower. At over 828 metres (2,716.5 feet) and more than 160 stories, it is the world's highest.
The Dubai Mall , which is the world's largest indoor mall, is also part of this huge city complex.
We visited the Armani Hotel for dinner and the AT.MOSPHERE Restaurant for Afternoon Tea on the 123 floor of the tower.
